Last Day of Skiing - Make it Count!

By Mika Graham

We did a little split skiing this morning.  The “Blue Crew”,  Scott, John, Kyle and Ben had a interest in trying out some more difficult runs.  They started off early this morning, hit some crazy runs from the top of the mountain and returned to join everyone for lunch back at the house.  Scott snapped this picture of Ben, a never skiier before this trip!  Only one way down Ben!  Are you ready?!

I’m really proud of all the people in this photo!  Scott skied all three days and kept up with all the young-ins.  Kyle skied better than ever and conquered a lot of fears.  He kept up with John and his Dad!  John gave up a lot of time skiing for himself to take care of his friends.  Ben picked up on skiing lightning fast and was always willing to try something new!

Everyone loaded up and drove to the village to ski for the afternoon and turn in all the rental gear.  The snow had melted enough to get both cars out today!  Yeah!  Raul, who only skied a few hours on day one and was sick for day 2, was determined to ski today and he did great! Jason who skied even less on Monday, really wanted to ski today, but the wounds on his leg just wouldn’t let him.  He made the really smart choice of spending a few hours talking with Scott, the expert college interviewer, about interviewing!  The tips and mock questions were really awesome.  I know Jason will rock his interviews next week!

I decided to enjoy the views, all the people watching and get some stitching in! Almost done with their series….stay tuned for more photos!

Missing the heck out of my little sidekick.  Thank you Nana for taking such good care of her and for sending photos….best dog sitter ever!
