Brave New Texans

By Mika Graham

I hosted a awesome Easter lunch Sunday.  All my local family came, which made us 12.   I am so blessed to have so many people to call mine so close by.

I bought and picked up my first Honey Baked Ham and Turkey Breast.  I’m so thankful for my decision to pick them up early Friday morning….crazy place!

We had Papa and Nana who brought a yummy Pioneer Woman seafood pasta dish and Strawberry Lemon poke cake.  Sweet!

Grumpy and Mema came and brought crab dip appetizer and asparagus. And more importantly, the brought the DIET COKE!  Lifesaving and yummy!

Sheryl and Shane came and brought green bean casserole, deviled eggs and Easter chocolates. Tasty!

Thomas and Charlotte came and brought their youthful stories and Cleckler good looks!  I love them to the moon.

We have 2 new local family members at our table!!!  Chris and Kathleen sold their home in California, packed up a moving van and moved to McKinney last month.  Chris had lived in California his whole life and Kathleen the last 25+ years. They both left behind beloved friends and family members to make a new life in Texas.

I admire their bravery and courage!  They are both wonderful additions to Texas!  Please welcome Chris and Kathleen to town when you see them!

With love.  Happy Easter!
