It’s a mystery to me what makes me stitch like a mad woman and what makes me put it down for weeks on end. I’ve been working on this canvas on and off again for the last 6 months….very unlike me! Normally, I would have something done like this in about 2 months total.
Well for whatever reason, I’m stitching again! It just good for my soul. Why do I ever stop???
This is where I’m at. I love a good background. Unfortunately, I’m stitching in fear of running out of Blue Splendor. Might make it……we will see. I had my friend Anne buy a backup just in case. Please let the new lot of blue match. Stay tuned!
I finished her hat the other day. I chose to follow the painted canvas rather than follow the stitch guide instructions. I love how the pattern gives the hat dimension. I’m pleased with the results. The addition of red beads is genius!
I can’t wait for you to see the completed series! I’m almost there.
It’s a Patience Brewster canvas with stitch guides by Mary Legallet.
I do know that purchasing crafting supplies is almost as much fun as stitching them! But I’m almost done with this project and I won’t have another “travel” size canvas. What will I do??
I decided to order these 2 canvases from Bedecked and Bedazzled. I’ve had my eye on it for quite some time. I always debate about who to buy from…..online store or brick and mortar? This time I decided to buy online because it was Ruth’s online blog and store that introduced these canvases to me in the first place. It just felt right!
Silly Birds is by Ruth Schmuff. It was one of her mystery classes years ago. Looks like a blast to stitch and you know I love my little birdies!
I have also had my eye on this little beauty as well. It’s Abstract Bears by Melissa Prince and guide by Ruth Schmuff.
Can’t wait for them to arrive! But I can’t start them until I finish the little Joker Girl…..a promise to myself.
Just keep stitching!
